Stop saying! Me Too! So boring

Instead of the phrase "Me too," you can use many excellent expressions in English, depending on the situation, grammar, and communication style.

Grammatical Alternatives (Advanced Level)
These phrases sound much more natural and native in speech, but you must match them to the speaker's verb.
  • So do I — Use if the first sentence had a regular verb (“I love coffee” — “So do I”).
  • So am I — Use if the verb to be was used (“I am tired” — “So am I”).
  • So can I / So did I — Repeat the modal or past tense verb (“I can swim” — “So can I”).
  • Neither do I / Neither am I — Use to agree with a negative statement (“I don't like winter” — “Neither do I”).
Casual and Conversational Options
Perfect for chatting with friends, colleagues, and in informal settings.
  • Same here — The most popular casual alternative ("The same goes for me").
  • Same — Extremely short and trendy modern slang.
  • Ditto — Meaning "likewise" or "the same" (often used in text chats).
  • Me as well — A slightly softer, smoother alternative to me too.
  • That makes two of us — Great when sharing a common problem or feeling.
  • I'm with you on that — Shows you completely support their point.
Formal and Business Options
Use these at work, in business emails, or when talking to clients.

  • Likewise — Useful in response to well-wishes (“Have a nice weekend!” — “Likewise!”).
  • I feel the same way — Expresses shared emotions or opinions.
  • I echo that sentiment — A formal way to agree with someone's feeling.
  • I share that perspective / view — Professional way to agree with an opinion.
  • I agree completely — Simple, powerful, and polite.
